WHAT WE DO NOT DO

We have seen many .org's compile hundreds of thousands of signatures on letters to the White House and petitions to other government nonprofits, .org's asserting their view that marijuana should be legal and all pot prisoners should be released. That is fine but from our experience those letters and petitions are, for the most part, ignored.  Most are compiled at marijuana related events where most persons already agree with the positions asserted. We seek to speak with those who make government decisions and have opposing views, we can hopefully influence in our direction. What we have seen work to release pot prisoners are letters from those who actually knew the prisoner especially from those who could say they knew him or her for many years, e.g. during childhood, in military service, work, or school.

WHAT WE ARE CONSIDERING:
A Class Action Suit for those who have been arrested, convicted & sentenced in Federal Court for Pot Violations.

We are in contact with an attorney who could file such a suit. It could lead to money for every day one was imprisoned for pot. Do we think it has any chance of succeeding, of seeing monies distributed to anyone convicted of cannabis violations? Not really. But what it may do is compile a list of those such affected and contribute a breath of wind to move the federal government to legalizing pot & releasing all pot prisoners. We have an attorney standing by. We do not ask for any funds to help pay for this suit be sent here as we want an attorney to set it up. Stay tuned.
